We have decided to host one more exhibition before the year is out, before our 2013 programme of events concludes with our Dalí Art Talk. Even though its quite soon, we're still not quite sure what we're displaying. This makes it both exciting and terrifying at the same time...
Our wonderful Ian had the idea we would have an exhibition to celebrate Pop Art. This is indeed a great idea and so now begins the gruelling (but very rewarding) process of assembling the exhibition in a short space of time. Pop Art aims to showcase a different style of contemporary work to the work we often have on our walls outside of exhibition periods, and also runs in conjunction with our 2013 business renovations, bringing Gallery 42 bang up to date.
As well as some original work, we will be displaying prints and high quality posters featuring works such as Andy Warhol's 'Black Bean', one of the many editions part of his Campbell's Soup series.
Furthermore, there will be some nostalgic vintage posters and psychedelic art on show.
Further details about the contents of the exhibition can be found on the 'CURRENT EXHIBITION' page.
We hope to see you there!
