Art Demonstration - Techniques of Edgar Degas

On Friday 25th July, Gallery 42 will host its first live painting demonstration

Geoff Leathley will share the oil techniques used by Edgar Degas in this exciting, one-off event

Edgar Degas remains amongst the most appreciated of 19th Century painters as a collective. An Impressionist Master, Degas' use of light in his works forms a great part of their overall character. His oil paintings are in collections all over the world and his style is perhaps one of the most mimicked of all.

During this demonstration, Geoff Leathley will show and explain the techniques used by Degas during a live demonstration. The event will be split into two halves, with a break in-between for complimentary refreshments. We'll also have some Impressionist works up on the walls to 'set the scene'.

Tickets are priced at £3.50 each and can be bought from Gallery 42 in-person. You can also reserve them by contacting us; hurry though, as places are limited!

We really hope you can join us for this great opportunity; see you there at 7pm.
